Antigonia
(Anne Clotilde de Winter)

Publicidade
Lights out. Natasha closes her eyes, her hands clenched, her white robe stained here and there with dried blood. Her hair shines despite the twilight. Blood pools at her feet as a knife spins on the floor. Suddenly the lights come back on and she hears a scream. In her semi-conscious state she hears someone talking on the telephone. What seems like an eternity passes, then sirens and red and blue lights invade her front. Men and women in uniform speak with her. She hears the sounds but not the words. She is quickly and carefully taken by car to the police station in downtown Sanneville. A young deputy speaks calmly with her. Natasha stares at her without moving. Aware of her stillness, Julie, the young deputy, watches her closely. Julie finished police academy with flying colors and she was stationed at police headquarters in Sanneville, her home town. Natasha's behavior bewildered her. Was she in shock? She never had much sympothy for her, but in that instant she took pity on her situation. They sit watching each other like two spies.
