Published in 1993 writer Surendra Verma's creation "Mughe Chand Chahiye " is a story about a small town girl, Varsha Vashishtha who broke all the rules and rituals to make her own fate. It is a journey of a poor, not so good looking, an unknown girl to the stardom. The story starts in Shahjahanpur in UP India, where she lives in a very poor family, where his father wants her to marry but she wants to study more and with the help of her English teacher Divya katyal, she enters into the world of theaters. With all the opposition from her family, she proves her capability of acting and make her own name and fame on national level. Her love Harsh is also an actor and got a film offer and move to Bombay a dream city for all the actors, but his film flops, while versha who starts with an art film becomes a superstar after her all films did a good work on box-office. She got lots of prestigious awards like Pdamshree and national awards. This fame comes with lots of bad names and misunderstandings with Harsh. Soon she felt that she is very lonely in her inner world. Harsh commits suicide after loss due to failure in films. In the end Varsha with her and Harsh?s son Hemant makes a place for her, but this journey shows her the naked truth of the world, the true faces of people and the ultimate meaning of life and that is Love and Peace.
