Resumo de Job - The Bible

Can we walk through the darkest of trials, face the fiercest of condemnations and the most cutting criticism and still proclaim that no matter what we face, God is still our God? So asks the question with the book of Job.
Job a righteous man was honorable in all he did. Satan, being the deceiver and doubter that he is, held to the claim that Job was only faithful because of all he had been given and all the mercies he had received. God, disagreed and allowed Satan to rob Job of everything he owned and had, except for his life.
The valley begins. There is nowhere in the book that says Job understood the trials. Even until the end, he did not understand. Yet what he did do and never once left was that God was God, free to do whatever he so choose with the life he had given him. He was free to give and take away and for that he would be grateful because none of it was his to begin with.
Job is a book that presents us with a stark reality that most of us do not like to face. Christians are not exempt from valleys and sufferings and in a lot of cases will face them more, as they are used to strengthen us, refine us and help us to grow more Christ like.
Job reacted as God expected. He cried out, yes, He complained a little, he cursed the day he was born and he asked God for answers but never once did he curse God or call him unjust or unfair.
It shows us that mans wisdom is not always wise and at times we have to weigh mans opinions, even men who are our closest confidants, against what we know to be true. It teaches us to listen only for God?s voice in our lives because ultimately that will be the voice that we will find is the only real voice of truth to get us through any situation good or bad.
In times of unexplainable heartache and unexplainable grief, when the valley is deeper than we have ever walked and we just don?t know how we will go on, the book of Job teaches us, that it isn?t about the things or what we have or don?t have. What it all boils down too is do we love God for who he is or not? If we can say that with a confident yes, then regardless of what we go through, we will never be put in a position where we feel that God no longer loves us and no longer shines his face upon us.
