Genesis
(The Bible)

Publicidade
All of us would like to know how this world came into being. Genesis, the first book of the Christian bible, gives us a version that many people around the world fervently believe. It describes the magical way that God created the world in only seven days, with people being his last, and greatest, creation. Then the story continues as the first people explore the world God gave them and ultimately betray their Creator, bringing sin into the world. Now, not only has the existence of the world been explained but the reason for all the evil that is in it has been explained as well. The stories continue throughout many generations with the repeated message that all will be well for those who trust in God. Belief wasn't an issue yet because God interacted with the first people. It is a comforting explanation for many and a pleasant, but unrealistic, fairy tale for others. Some people even find it offensive. It is a piece of ancient literature that can evoke strong emotions among those who read it.
