Auto Da Barca Do Inferno

Auto of the Bark of the Hell it is an auto one where the boatman of the hell and of the sky waits to the edge the convict and the awarded ones. The ones that dies arrive and are accused by the Devil and the Angel, but only the Angel acquits.
the first one to arrive is a Noble, is followed by a speculator, a Parvo (silly), a shoemaker, one frade, a cafetina, and a Jew, a judge also goes, for a promoter, a hanged person and four knights. One by one they come close themselves to the Devil, loading what in the life she weighed to them. They ask for where the bark goes; when knowing that it goes for the hell are horrified and if they say deserving of the Sky. They are come close then to the Angel who condemns them to the hell for its sins.
the Noble, the Onzeneiro (speculating), the Shoemaker, the Frade (and loving its), the Brísida Procuress Vaz (cafetina and witch), the Jew, the Corregedor (judge), the Solicitor (promotional) and the hanged person are all convict to the hell for its sins, that found or compensated by visits little the Church and almses. But the Parvo is acquitted for the Angel. The knights at least are accused, therefore they had given the life for the Church.
the text of the Auto one is written in rhymed verses, fundindo poetry and theater, making with that the text, full of irony, trocadilhos, metaphors and rhythm, flows of course. It is part of the trilogy of Files of legal documents of the Bark (of the Hell, the Purgatório, the Sky).
Each one of the focused personages adentram the death with its instruments lands, is venal, unconscious and because of its sins they do not reach the Glory, the perpetual salvation. Prominence must be made to the figure of the Devil, vigorous personage who knows the art to persuade, is agile in the attack, jeers, retruca, argues and penetrates in the consciences human beings. To the Devil it fits to denounce the vices and the weaknesses, being the personage most important in the critical one that Gil Vicente weaves of its time.
