In a
small town in Minnesota, a dramatic and unexpected event will affect the call
life of the inhabitants, in a cold Winter night, a child is kidnapped, the
motive of the kidnap is unknown, why the kidnapper choose little Josh? Is
family is considered as a family model in the community, they all know doctor
Hannah Garrison, a young doctor, wife and devoted mother, as well as her
husband, the accountant Paul Kirkwood a respected member of the community.
However, someone caused them an enormous suffering by taking their son.
The BCA
(Bureau of Criminal Apprehension) agent Megan O?Malley, has just arrived to Deer Lake, she haven?t had time to unpack her
bags when the kidnap investigation begins. As well as the lack of clues, she as
to face the bad will of the members of the law enforcement, since she is the
first female agent in the field. Does attracting the curiosity of the media, in
such a way that her superior threat?s to take her out of the field, leaving the
field work to a male agent, something that Megan in not willing to accept,
specially after working so hard to get where she is.
During
the investigation, the police chief, Mitch Holt, comes to the conclusion that
agent O?Malley is in fact a good cop, and that the fact of her being a
foreigner gives her some objectivity, because she doesn?t know, neither does
judgments about the community members.
The
kidnap seems to have been done by someone with a very twisted mind, because his
actions take the investigators to think that for the kidnapper its all a game,
a sick game, but what is the objective?
