Wa thiongos black hermit is
basically about the clash of cultures in a typical african seting in
the land of nairobi,Kenya.it shows the effects of christianity and
voodoo.Remi,the principal character leaves the village of
matua and sojourns in the city as an officer in an oil firm
never to return home.His mum NYOBI AND the family elders and even his
pastor are worried back home that they seductively convinces him
to come back home to lead the africanist party which was so
enmeshed in national filth and decay.He leaves his white
girlfriend , Jane and comes back to his people to help with
communal revamping.
