(Jean-Marie Adiaffi)

Publicidade
The arrest of the prince of Agni, Prince Meledouman, is taken for not possessing a basic identity card, a simple piece of paper. But, however the prince incarnates a certain authority and capacity of another nature is stopped and thrown into prison. This only scandalizes certain people who have a deep consideration of his royalty. But, after a stay in prison, a blind prince is returned to freedom. Which Freedom? To show the prince, as a prince, would be to ridicule his people for which they form the protective guardian force. It is a cruel affront the face of the people, which did not ask, so sadistically. The tribulations of the prince continue to be a true identity search. The reader is plunged in an Agni universe, that the Ivory Coast novelist uses rate/rhythm readily according to the traditional calendar of his people, that it invites the reader to discover, but respect, a cultural alteration. Various meetings served as initiatory tests seven days a week. The animated route of the hero is a true intellectual prowess, a main originality and an obviousness of the mythical value of the novel. To describe the heart of its people remains an honor or writing. The author, through the misfortunes of prince Meledouman, speaks metaphorically of the suffering of the Agni people. The people lose heart with the capacity characterized by a lack of tact and negligence that tends to despoil the people of all that remain of their culture. While returning, the prince?s goals are to try and make the people blind and deprive them of their capacities to radiate.
