The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
(robin s sharma)

this happens to be one of my favourite books. the others include fountainhead by ayn rand and the smoke jumper by nicholas evans.
the book in detail gives u the rules to follow if u want to lead a full and happy life. anyone who years to make the max out of one's lifetime should definitely read this once.
i will quote some excerpts from the book.
"All I am really getting at is that if u want to improve your life and live with all that you deserve you must run your own race.. It doesn't matter what other people say about you. What is important is what you say to yourself. do not be concerned with the judgement of others as long as you know what you are doing is right. You can do whatever you want to do as long as it is correct according to your conscience and your heart." Never be ashamed of doing what is right; decide on what u think is good and stck to it. never measure your self-woth against other people's net worth. every second u spend thinking about someone else's dreams you take time away from your own."

and the author tells you the secret of happiness...
"find what you truly love to do and direct all your energy towards doing it."

the results of positive thinking is explained as.....

"to live life to the fullest, you must stand guard at the gate of your garden(mind) and let only the very best information enter. You truly cannot enjoy the luxury of even a single negative thought. We all come from the same universal source. however the ones who do more than exist , the ones who fan the flames of their human potential and truly savour the magical dance of life do different things than those whose lives are ordinary. foremost , they adopt a positive paradigm about their world and all that is in it.

change is the most powerful force in our society today. most people fear it. the wise embrace it.those whose minds are open to new concepts - tjose whose cups are always empty will always move to higher levels of achievement and fulfillment. never be reluctant to ask even the basic of questions. they are the most effective methods of eliciting knowledge.

by improving your inner world , i am speaking of self -improvement and personal expansion and it is the best thing you can do for yourself. you might think that you are too busy to spend times working on yourself.this would be a big mistake.when you have taken time to build a strong character full of discipline , energy, power and optimism, you can haveanything and do anything in the outer world. when you have cultivated a deep sense of faith in your abilities and an indomitable spirit , nothing can stop u from succeeding in all your pursuits and living with greta rewards.
