On the other hand, at european level, we can observe a phenomenon of multiplication of terminals and logistics centres revealing such infrastructures implementation importance in Portugal.
So, iot is essential to develop a national plan with a proper evaluation of logistic territorial potential according to Intermodal and Multimodal Transport development with the purpose of increasing the european market access.
The high level of International Transport and Tecnology&Information Systems changed the mission of the ports, presently with a different role derived from its integration on the logistic chain.
Consequently, it became essential structuring and organising the territory with particular attentio to the spacial expansion and specialisation of ports with a total integration with adequate national network of terminals and Logistic Platforms.
