Would you believe me if I told you /I met the writer of this book - Danny Morrison/ in a well
known bookstore - before it was burnt down!
I was intrigued to read his book: The Wrong Man as its more a political dissertation than a light
romantic novel! Strange as it seems Danny Morrison former IRA Prisoner and old time member of Sinn Fein Political Party Ireland is now very much an established and talented writer!
His prose works in as much as dialogue has to be seen to be an active ingredient of any book on such subjects as Politics! He fills in a background of culture, class and views.
Interestingly enough, I attended a North & South Body Presentation of writers drawn from
The Irish Republic representing Irish TImes Newspaper and Belfast Telegraph representing
British State of Northern Ireland and they were hugely entertaining.
Never thought that polticians had it in them to entertain the readership. But there you are ...
References to the IRA Dirty Protest are vividly described herein - sometimes you can hear it called The Blanket Protest because the IRA Hunger Strikers sat wearing a blanket only and covered the walls of their prison cells with excrement!
This is a novel way of dealing with politics to dress it up as poetry! Hoping you find something of interest in the cateloging of IRA and continued Peace Processes in Ireland Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
Its a hard book to read . . but as we say, don't give up .. keep on reading ...
