The same time in the First Land, a girl named Dart was getting ready for something like a baptism. The principle god - Chrism chooses handmaidens from time to time. Conclave prepares them for years. One of them ? Dart has own fate, yet unknown to her. An educator, one of the teachers from Conclave tried to rape her and kill, but did not know that there is a hidden friend of Dart?
Tylar?s and Dart?s paths have to cross. The forgotten but not forbidden knight is wanted by traitors who accused him once in the past, and who knows that Tylar possessed something what is dangerous and against their bloody plans. De Noche has to reach the First Land, and Tashijan to find truth about him and the damned Grace he has received.
Dart has been chosen by Chrism as a handmaiden declared to serve to his blood. During a process of ?election? somebody tries to kill her once more, but with no success.
None knows that called as a good god Chrism plays double game still hide his real nature.
Tylar reached shore of the First Land at last. He met her beloved woman ? a knight as well, but she does not trust him still believing in the old stories being in company of jurors against him then.
Dart discovered wrong side of her Master. The only way to stop him to destroy old rules made by real Chrism, Dart and Tylar together with their Graces, strange friends and a sword must try to kill Chrism?s Naethryn?
