Synopsis: Getting Out of the Hole

Carlos Eusebio leaves every morning, at quite an early hour, from an area in the outskirts of the city, to go to work. He gets on a bus, full of people, piled in like a tin of sardines, then arrives at his destination to carry out his monotonous job. He is met by the female boss or the chubby male boss, reproaching him for his late arrival. What you have to put up with to get out of this place!

After leaving this arduous job, he leaves for the university, because he has his sights on a career, on a future, on better prospects, a better way of living; and after having finished these hours in class, he returns again as at the beginning, in the bus. ?Move along to the back, shift yourselves, there?s space for one at the back? are the words of a dull conductor who wants to do his last return as full as possible.

At last when he arrives in his district a great darkness covers the area and there is not even "enough light to fuck by?. He has to go carefully because there are some guys on the corner who are knocking down everybody who goes by.

He arrives home, tired, hungry and very hot. That merits a bath. He gets ready to refresh himself and hears his mother?s voice shouting from the living room, ?Eusebio, there is no water? and that what there is is for cooking. What a pain! When will I leave this area? When will I have my own vehicle? When will I have my own house? When will I be a real professional? No, WHEN WILL I GET OUT OF THIS HOLE
