OVERCOMING LONELINESS

?Happy the man, happy he alone
He who can call today his own,
He who, secure within, can say:
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today.?

In the fast growing world, there is pressure on every person. Company expects him to perform well, family to satisfy there needs, children want he should play with them and spouse to spend some time with them. But in this challenging and tough world, with ever growing demands, a person gets so engrossed in the work and his day today routine that hardly he finds any time left for his own self. When stress level, pressures and frustrations increase, he feels very low and thus creeps in the feeling of loneliness.

Loneliness is a state when we, our self, want to be all alone, aloof and isolated. We hardly want to share how we feel with anyone, not even with our near and dear ones.

But the book ?How To Overcome Loneliness? by Arun. K. Agarwal gives us a very good guidance of how we can come out of the state of lonesomeness. It tells the appropriate reasons how we entered this state and thus, also the key to rise above that feeling.

To possess a healthy and happy personality we need to constantly adjust to our changing environment and face life with self confidence and enthusiasm. Pressures, stress and difficulties to achieve success lead to isolation.

It is not only the working people who face this way but also the children, older people and any body else. The possible reasons can be death of beloved, personal illness, moving to new place or can be any other. And to cope up with the situation people start responding negatively. They think of ending their lives, taking drugs and like wise.

The only way out is to keep our self busy, always working and not letting ourselves free. First and foremost, we have to be friends with our own selves and keep enjoying. It can going out for a party, being a spectator at some event, and doing anything that makes us happy.

When children confront this feeling, parents should have a frank and open chat with them, spend some extra time with them, and make them join some hobby club. They must also try to encourage the child to do something innovative and creative. The elder ones should absorb a charitable interest and serve the community.

The cure for loneliness is involving your self with other people. The change in your life comes about through your own thoughts and acts of concern and love towards others.
The book gives a very encouraging one liner -

?Do not ask for help instead give help?
