Gone For Good
(Harlan Coben)
Gone for Good is a thrilling, high paced crime and mystery novel by Best-Selling novelist, Harlan Coben. Every chapter brings a surprising twist and delivers a series of shocks for the readers. It is a harrowing tale of trust, betrayal, lies and murder epiphanised by an unbelievable ending which will leave the reader reeling. It is written in firts person and follows the life of Will Klein, a worker at charity helping runaway and homeless children. Despite many of the strange characters, the story engages the reader and pulls them into Will Klien's crazy world, never once seeming fake or unreal. The story evolves from a simple search for his brother, to desperately trying to find not only his brother, but his lover, the victims and penultimatley, the truth. The story explodes into what appears to be a dozen different directions simultaneously. However it moves flawlessy and quickly leaving the reader breathless and in awe. The threads start to come together, slowly and timed with perfect precision. But, if you think that will leave a predictable ending, think again! This is a devilishly riveting book with a fantastic storyline and brilliant characters. I would recommend this hard-hitting, hard to put down book to everyone!
