A great novel of middle of 20th century written by sharatchandra chatopadhyaya.An excellent love triangle.
Main character of this novel is devdas.He went to london to take his education.He loves his childhood friend paro.paro remembers him every minute in his absent.devdas returned home after 12 years.paro and devdas both are adult now.They wanted to marry but there are no similarity between family of both. Devdas belongs with rich family while paro belongs with poor family. so devdas`s parents refuse to marry him with paro.Paro later married to a rich businessman.But he is overage.Devdas could not forget paro.he became addicted of liquor.A prosetute named chandramukhi came now in his life.She started to love him now.But he is only dream of paro.Paro is also unable to forget him.But at last in this love triangle devdas got suffered with a dangerous disease and died.
This story make heart impatient.it is difficult to forget this story and all words written by heart.In my opinion this is the best story of love triangle i read ever.It is a pure traditional story.In india this time also brides are selected by parents. Really this story is fantastic and i m sure if any body read it once cant forget .Its a fact of 20th century.After reading this novel i forgot every thing and just remembered this story.An Indian love triangle with full of emotions and suspense.
