(RaghuRavi)
THE CHEAPEST PRICE Once there lived a man. He was a stingy man and a greedy fellow. Though he had a lot of money, he did not spend them, even when it was required. He was always looking for the cheapest quotation to buy things. He had a daughter. He was not interested in providing her the dresses and food. He wanted to start a business to earn more. He was thinking to start oil business. He felt he could earn more and more because of the demand for the coconut oil. He wanted to buy thousand coconuts. First, he enquired in the nearby shop. The shop keeper replied, the price of thousands coconuts is ten gold coins. He asked whether it would be possible to buy for seven golds. The shop keeper said, If you walk about three miles from here, there is one shop. There you can get for that price. In fact, I am buying only from there. He walked from there and arrived that place. He asked the man in the shop about the price of the coconuts. He said he could give for seven golds. But he was not satisfied with the price. He asked the man whether it was possible to give him five golds for thousand coconuts. The man said, If you walk about a mile from here towards East, there you can find a shop and there you can buy for that price. He was glad about it. He then started to walk that distance where he found the shop. He repeated the same and the merchant replied that the price was five gold coins for thousand coconuts. He asked him to reduce the price to two golds. The merchant said, If you want to buy for two gold coins, you have to walk about three miles from here, and there is one whole sale merchant and surely he would you for that money. Though he was very tired, he was very glad about that news and he went there to find the whole sale merchant. He was absolutely joyous to see such a big land, full of coconuts. He could see more than a million coconuts together. He asked the whole sale merchant about the price and he said it was two gold coins. He said, You are having this much coconuts with you. Can't yoou spare me thousand coconuts without any money?. The merchant said that would not be possible for him to give at free of cost. But if you walk just a mile from here, you can see thousands of trees with full of coconuts. No one would object you. You can have as much as you wish at free of cost. There was no boundary for his happiness. Just after this message from him, he walked there and at last he could found the place from where he could get the coconuts without paying anything. Unfortunately, he had no tools with him to pluck the coconuts from the tree to the ground. He started to climb the trees, one by one and plucked the coconuts from there. He could not continue this since he was very tired. He came down the tree and he felt hungry and he could not walk even. Suddenly he fell there itself unconsciously. When he opened his eyes, he saw the whole sale merchant and three more strangers around him. The merchant said, I came there this morning I found you in an unconscious state. I brought you here to save your life. These are the doctors and fortunately for you, there was sixty golds in your bag which I have paid to the doctors. He was completely upset of this.
