The Desert

I am the desert away from banks,
Commonly situated in the middle of land.
I am full of dusty sand,
For a vast, vast area of land.
My land is not fertile,
Where live many reptiles.
I am hot in the day and cool at the night,
And make the people feel sweaty & fine.
The people pass through me,
Hoping to be soon free.
I only permit cactus to grow,
As I cannot fulfil a plant?s hope.
The camels sail on my sand,
With a hump as their storing can.
I want to be as good as coastals,To have many schools and hostels.
