THE BROUGHT UP
Once upon a time, in a village, there lived a butcher. He was supplying meat to the village people. He was good at his business. One day he saw a parrot in a cage, in the market. It was very attractive. He liked the bird very much. He bought it and brought it to his house. He was very kind to the bird. He gave food regularly and the parrot was also affectionate with him. Since killing the animals was his business, he used the words, kill you, cut you, very often. The parrot used to watch his speaking like this many times. The butcher taught these words to the bird. It repeated these words wheneven he used these words. The parrot was at the enterance of his house, and whenever a stranger entered, he used to shout, kill you, cut you. Near his house, there lived a saint. He also had a pet animal parrot. Since the saint was leading a spiritual life, he used these words, please come. Please be seated. The parrot which was living in the saint's ashram was taught the words please come, please be seated. By practice, the parrot used to speak please come, please be seated. Whenever a stranger visited his Ashram. The parrot which lived in the butcher's house knew the words, kill you, cut you. The parrot which lived in the Saint's Ashram knew the words, Please come, Please be seated. This story explains about the importance of the brought up. It is the duty of the parants to teach their children only the good things. If we do not teach them properly, there is alwasys a possiblity for them to go in wrong ways.
