The Stars filled the night sky in the ouback of Austraila. as Jack mind wonders back to his homeland of Wales. He thinks of his family of his mother Jean and his father John and of his brother's Patrick and James. He remembers the wordas of his father. " You have almost finshed your schooling." Yes father. Jack replied." It is time for you to join your brothers." John said with pride. " No father I will never work down the mine. The young lad said as he eats his evening meal
"What's this? of course you will, the men of the Jones family have always worked down the mine. It's your duty as a Jones." John said. as he looks to Jean for some kind of surpport. "Did you know about this?" He asked Jean. "The lad does not want to work down the mine, can't you see that." Jean said. "Yes I see that but I don't understand it. "John the lad needs more than we can give him." Jean said "And what more does he need? what more does he want?" " He wants to go to Austraila." said Jean " Austraila that's not going to happen. He will do his duty as a Jones He will work in the mine with his brothers" John said, Him knowing that Jack would settle for nothing less.
