The Da Vinci Code
(Dan Brown)
Here is a novel which has caused many controversies. However, I maintained that I would read it to get a proper idea myself and I would suggest you to do the same. Indeed, this work is a wholesome thriller, so intriguing that it will hold you breathless till its conclusion. Although the story is in a rather doubtful esoteric context, many statistics provided are either false or were fabricated for the convenience of the story; the story remains for me an excellent novel and there is just one complaint I can make. In the beginning of the story, the hero Robert Langdon, an American expert in affairs concerning Paris, is contacted by the police chief Bézu to help in their investigation. The conservative of a museum is assassinated for mysterious reasons in strange circumstances. What will be soon revealed is that Langdon is the investigator and the primary suspect at the same time. The victim had an appointment with him for the following day and had written his name on the ground with his own blood. Soon this ambiguous situation will be accentuated with the appearance of Sophie Neuveu, the granddaughter of the victim and also the investigator with the signature of the scientific police force. Beyond this point, the road movie begins with will entertain our heroes of Paris in the United Kingdom, unceasingly pursuing new levels due to the resolution of numerous enigmas to the danger of their life. Good reading.
