Breanna Stockland helps train pilots in the kingdom of Brunei as they hired EB52 Megafortress as part of an arms deal. She is married to Major Zen Stockland, ,an ace pilot who is a paraplegic after a plane crash. He runs the US government's Flighthawk program called Dreamland. He came over to Brunei for a visit and they were on the sultan's private beach. They found themselves under attack from terrorists. Luckily Zen jumped into the sea and was able to fire at two of their attackers and Breanna found a boat which helped them escape. They thought maybe their attackers were kidnappers who wanted them for ransom. There were no insurgents anyway in Brunei except in Malaysia and Indonesia. Another event happened when a ship delivering goods was hit by a misile and split in two with casualties. The reality is some people in the Arab world wants the sultan toppled and taking advantage of the presence of Americans to further confuse the Brunei authorities. Zen was right when he said they needed more help to fight insurgents than hiring or buying combat planes. The source of the disturbance was actually coming from Afghanistan from a guy seeking revenge from a grievance to his family by the sultan's ancestors. Anyway they are getting helped from Malaysia who wanted Brunei for its oil although they pretend they know nothing or have nothing to do with the disturbance. So the conflict escalated and as the Brunei authorities were very slow to react as they cannot believe they are really being targeted. They found themselves under siege from the terrorists. The sultan would have been captured if not for the daring rescue of Commodore Mckenna, an ace Canadian pilot hired by Mac Smith on the spot as he is the minister responsible for the operation in Brunei. So the Americans found themselves immersed in the conflict not only to defend themselves but also to help the sultan and its citizens defend their territory. Their casualties are increasing in numbers and most of the sultan's collection of vintage planes was destroyed. Malaysia agreed to cooperate and help but the Americans doubt it as they were not doing much. In fact they were just pretending to help.They ambushed Dog, a colonel and father of Breanna when they were on their way home from a meeting with Malaysian authorities but were rescued. Mackenna helped Mac buy ammunitions from a Filipino contact she knew from her previous Russian employer. They were able to establish a temporary landing there for some of their planes. So they were able to defeat the terrorists with urgent help ordered by the US president. Most of the Americans were given high military honours and distinction especially Mac Smith who was made protector of Brunei with a $1millio a year for life pay. He was actaully captured by Sahurah after he landed the Megafortress. He was able to escape and killed the terrorists who captured some Brunei men and killing women and children too. But he did not want to stay there and wanted his job back in Dreamland. So he left the celebrations and went outside and suddenly recognised Sahurah walking into the restaurant where Zen and Breanna were dining. He knew instantly that Sahurah was strapped with bombs and tried desperately to stop him and only managed to lessen the casualty. Zen was caught in the blast but he was allright and Breanna was in the toilet but Mac was injured and in hospital but will be able to walk after.
