Shorthand is not for commercial purpose.
In this fast moving world we want to do things as fast as we could. Either eating or sending communication etc., When it comes for education even though many subjects are taught English Language is given the first and topmost priority to be learned to learn other subjects thoroughly. Students would feel comfortable when they write words through shorthand. Nowadays children learn all sort of things which involves high concentration and beyond their capability without much difficulty.
From the school level to the college level and after joining in any organization ?writing words? in English deemed as a shadow of a person. Hence learning of shorthand should be introduced at the student level itself so that when they are in a position to take notes during class hours they would feel very easy to handle writing and they can save plenty of time. Even I read in Hindu that the senior reporter named Mr. Srinivasan found the English transcription for the shorthand outlines ?long stained annals? which were written by one of his colleague during his tenure in The Hindu, and he was appreciated by others. . I am teaching shorthand to the students who are interested. I also emphasize through whatever media either Print, Internet or in Schools, whenever I get chance. Because I feel that if we know one thing which makes our work easy and comfortable we should encourage that subject to others especially when it comes for education. I have also introduced ?Shorthand introduction and training Programme? to some of the schools and have done it successfully. Parents feel that their children should be well versed in English. If Shorthand also is taught, children can not only learn English, they can also develop their skill in Language because shorthand is an ocean where we can improve our language skill
