Since ages human values exist in this world .These values maintain harmony in the society .These are psychological values, which make the life meaningful and worth living. Man is a social being. He can not lead an isolated life. Social culture influences human life. Social culture differs from country to country. But these values do not vary from state to state and country to country. These are ethical values. They are immortal. Man has to accept certain social norms to lead a peaceful life in the society. Family environment, neighborhood, friend?s circle and working area would reflect a person?s behavior

In today?s world moral values are side routed. World wide unrest, social problems violence, and crime rate are ruling. To remove these social evils importance will be given to human values. These are to be poured into the children?s mind right from the childhood .Formation of good habits will make one a good human being. Whatever we do repeatedly is a habit. Childhood is the habit formation period.. Good habits lead to good behavior.

Character is a quality which one can build for oneself. ?To keep a nation strong and free there are some things that must always be,

The characteristics of a character are loyalty trust, honesty ,integrity ,ethics and moral values. It is a combination of Self discipline ,self respect, word and deed. Character is the reality and truth.
Education without values and discipline is disastrous. Value based education would lead the man to the peak of knowledge. Knowledge gives wisdom. Positive thinking power will develop.

Discipline is a planned action .It teaches proper utilization of time, and guides one to reach destination in time. Discipline is principle based. Great personalities always live d and will live with principles.? If discipline is practiced in every house juvenile delinquency should be reduced by 95%.?Edgar Hoover. Discipline gives self confidence and rises self esteem. Children learn from the life style they are living .Parents are their first teachers.

To achieve success in life mental strength and toughness is needed. In odd and humiliating circumstances mental toughness is needed to take correct decision. Here is a story of the king who struggled hard to keep up his promise .He walked on the path of truth .His name remained in Indian epics for his dedication to the policy of truth. Once he promised to a sage named Viswamitra to give any thing he wanted. To keep up his promise he gave up his entire kingdom, and put his wife in the market for sale. She was sold for few coins. Queen Chandramati was his true companion, and supported him in all odd and better situations .Ultimately the King became the guard of burial ground .The queen worked as a maid in her buyer?s house. The King tolerated all this because he was
loyal to his trusted values and principles. In such situation his only son was bitten by a snake and died .His wife brought the corpse to the burial ground .There also the king
refused to bury him without paying the tax. Then the queen removed her sacred chain and gave it to him as the tax. This was the test taken by the sage Viswamitra to check his honesty, truthfulness and righteousness .The sage appeared in front of him pleased with his principles and gave back his kingdom and made his son alive. This story remained forever. This is existentialism .According to Jean Paul Sartre? Existentialism is humanism. ?It transcends from time to time.

If importance is given to ethical values, anti social movements will be reduced. Man?s life will be more rationalized.
