The Summons
(John Grisham)

Publicidade
The author does not need recommendation. He wrote dozens of books and all of them have become bestsellers. This one is not unique. It is written in his usual, thrilling style. The action takes place in 2000 in the USA.

The Summons tells a story of a law teacher, a man in his forties, that is called to his father to discuss the matters of family estate. Instead of chatting, he finds loads of money and dead body of his dad, a former judge. It turns out that the judge has overdosed morphine because of painful cancer but the mistery of the money still remains unsolved. Obviously, the main character does not reveal the secret of the treasure to the rest of the family and friends but decides to solve the mistery alone. He encounters a serie of strange events and threats.

The book is strongly recommended to all Grisham lovers and English language students, because it is written in a style, that does not require the dictionary but is still very reliable and actual.
