Bumps is the next book from author Zoe Barnes, after Hot Property. It is about a young woman, Taz Norton, who is working her way up the career ladder at department store, S&G, heading for promotion. Her lover has left her for her ex-best friend and room-mate. Taz then finds out she is pregnant by her ex, but rather than give up everything, she decides that she is going to be a fantastic mum, and have a successful career. We follow Taz through the ups and downs of pregnancy, dealing with her parents that are upset, joining pregnancy groups and making new, pregnant friends, struggling to prove herself at work, and dealing with the possibility of a new relationship. This book is very well written, very honest and true to the life a struggling single career minded mum.
