The Usa And Us.......

We live in the land of welly boots the ones you call galoshes,
Morning and its ham and eggs to us its plain old sausages.
We shop in the shopping precinct, the one that you call the mall,
In England it is Autumn, the season you call the fall.
When i soak in my hot bath, the thing that you call tub, if you go for a drink in a bar i'll be at the pub.
You drive a massive pick up truck, mine is a simple van
When i need to use the loo, your sitting on the can.
I pop out to the chip shop, for some fish 'n' chips, whilst you will have French fries,
I go out and see my mates, you visit with the guys.
Whilst i will have a chocolate bar, you'll be eating candy,
You may have an ice cold beer, i'll stick to the shandy.
I work out in training shoes, the ones that you call sneakers, you'll drink from a Thermos, i'll stick to flask and beakers.
Oh and what about where you park your car? the place you call garardge, your chief of police are sherrif, we have a nice ole sarge.
At school you went to junior high, we do good ole grammer,
we brush our teeth with colgate gel you have arm and hammer.
So when your next in Rodeo drive at the dresses in posh shops, i will be in Oxford St perusing all the frocks.
If ever i go to uncle sam and ask for tea and buns, i best beware cause you may come out with someones pert tight bum.
When i had my baby boy i put him in a nappy, but diapers are the things to use on your dear little chappy.
At xmas time we have father xmas, you have santa claus,
You go up and down the elavator, i take lifts to upper floors.
And then theres trousers you call pants we call pants our knickers,
We used to have a marathon bar until you changed them to Snickers.
You put your money in a purse, to me its called a bag,
and if i need a cigarette i wount ask for a fag!!
So this is where the poem ends and i shall say tata
