Love,faithfulness & Marriage

Marriages are breaking up every second,i can assure you by the time you finish reading this write up,new lies would have been discovered in over a hundred homes in the world.It's amazing how people reason this days - falsely believing going to the alter with their secrets closely guided and shaded from the knowledge of their partner, who they intend to share the rest of their lives with,they will reach their gray days together.Before you could complete pronouncing my name,ASHERE JOSEPH,the marriage has hit the rocks,no sooner than it started.
Lies, as common as they are,are the virus that easilly destroy relationships/marriages.The easer they come the faster they eat the marriage down. A marriage does not just pack up one day,it is an accumulation of the little drops of lies that has been gathered by a partner,from the start of the marriage till when it finally over flow is brim.
Alot of views has been expressed as regards the issue of love,some believe in it,others don't.For instance, in Africa,before the coming of civility,there was nothing - an abstract phenomenon like love.Families,of the bride and groom,negotiate and choose partners for their mature children.And with time this husband and wife,study and understand themselve,and live peacefully till old age,and this practise passes on from one generation to another,until this era,were choice of spouces are made by individuals alone.
Now under the guise of looking for true love(it's not just 'love' again,but 'true love' ),spinters and banchelors,throw morals to the wind.It is at this point i believe Africa lost it.With the acceptance of this foriegn culture,faithfulness dissappeared from Africa's marriages.Faithfulness,is the roof that unite the walls of marriage,supprisingly and carelessly too we lost our roof.Now tell me,were will our marriages hide when trouble winds blow.
Love is an illusion,even the propounders of it can't flawlessly defend it.Why must we(Africans) now leave our solid foundation to build on a sandy sand of lies on which marriage stands exposed to all manners of winds.Africa,must return back to those days when marriage is build on truthfulness,faithfulness and facts.
