Potter magic returns once again in J.K.Rowlings fourth book-?Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?.Harry is now in his fourth year at the Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and wizardry. And he ,predictably again has to battle against the evil lord Voldemort who wouldn?t leave any stone unturned to harm Harry. If this wasn?t enough ,somebody forces Harry to compete in the ?Triwizard tournament ? against students from other schools,which includes a variety of dangerous tasks. So Harry battles against a fierce dragon , rescues Ron underwater and braves the perils of a deadly maze. Along with all these perilous tasks, Harry and Ron also attend their first ball and are faced with an even more daunting task-to ask a girl out. To make matters worse, Harry?s privacy is invaded by a nosy reporter-Rita Skeeter who would go to any lengths for a sensational scoop. And ofcourse draco malfoy is always there to make life miserable The novel sees Harry?s translation from child to adoloscent as Harry, Ron and Hermione?s love life comes into focus for the first time. Even Hagrid finds love .Curiously sparks fly between Ron and Hermione ,while Harry is not so lucky with his crush-the ravenclaw seeker Cho Chang .The book draws to a close with an exciting climax which sees Voldemort return from the dead. The novel sets ground for the final confrontation between Harry and the dark lord. Rowling is able to recreate the magic of her previous three books. Her fourth attempt doesn?t dissapoint. Rather it draws one further in the incredible world of Harry potter-where broomsticks , quidditch ,muggles,animagi are common terms.This book should be enjoyed in equal measure by the kids as well as their parents. Ready for the fantasy ride?
