Death at an Early Age is a wonderful book written to let people know of the horrible conditions and prejudice going on throughout the Boston School District. Jonathan Kozol was a teacher in the district for several months and taught in different schools. He witnessed how the schools were really run. He witnessed how the children were really treated. He witnessed how prejudice the teachers were. And most importantly he witnessed the children be put at a disadvantage they didn?t deserve from the teachers; the people who were supposed to give them support and guidance. In this book he writes his experiences.
