The Davinci Code

After alll the fuss and hype surrounding this book, it's hard to imagine that there would actually be anyone out there who hasn't read it, and therefore would want to read my abstract anyway, HOWEVER, just in case let me just say that this book should come with a warning, and a big one at that, that it is a work of FICTION, and nothing more!
Given this proviso and that it is understood well, we must take all the assertions made by the author lightheartedly and not as revelations of historical truths that have been hidden for 2000 years, for this cannot be so, even though it is implied by Mr. Brown.
The theme is both blasphemous and far fetched, but given the assertions made I am somewhat surprised by the reaction of CHRISTENDOM, in general, or lack thereof.
At least when KAZANTZAKIS released, The Last Temptation, the church reacted, in this case they condemn themselves by their silence.
As far as great authors go, such as LEWIS or TOLKIEN, there was true faith and belief in the inherent goodness of man in the image of GOD, However DAN BROWN has chosen to offend the one TRUE GOD in favour of the all almighty dollar to sell his book at any cost.
In summary it is a thriller with a few routine twists and turns, the standout attraction being it's obvious disrespect and defamation of CHRIST and hence making it so attractive to an atheistic, unbelieving, disrespectful and blasphemous audience.
A true sign of things to come!!
