Perry Mason Series
(Erle Stanley Gardner)

Publicidade
Erle Stanley Gardner. A writer of the 19th century. I just read one novel, and wished for more. The great mystery writer of the 1960''s had me baffled! His case was extraordinary! And the hero- Mr. Advocate Perry Mason- his efficiency and loyalty towards his client is excellent! Till the very end, the writer will have you guessing about the real criminal, having you glued to the book till you finish it. I have realilsed my father is very right when he goes on talking about Perry Mason and Erle Stanley Gardner. He''s an old day John Grisham. Or I''d rather say, John Grisham is a modern day Erle.
The book I read was called The Case of the Waylaid Wolf. A man wants to have his secretary please him, and she doesn''t want to let him take liberty of her gentle sex. The same night the man gets murdered. The first suspect is obviously the girl. Fortunately, the girl has already made herself a client of Perry Mason. The rest is all upto him. The ingenious way in which he gets her out of the mess, including risking his own life, is way too good.
Wonder why these books aren''t available anymore. It''s a pure treasure, it is.
