My Sustaining Luck

My sustaining Luck

I hardly consider my self to be a LUCKY ONE, rather I am a very unlucky person. These days my top most priority is to save money.

Yesterday was a pulbic holiday on occasion of a festival.  I went to a shopping mall and with my good luck I could buy a pair of chappal (say, shoes) just for Rs. 116 at a discount rate offered; it saved me at least Rs. 70. Then, I was standing outside the mall at a bus stop, and it took a bit long time because all of a sudden the bus drivers went on strike. I waited all together at two stops for more than five hours supposing that the strike would end anyhow. I had already had a whole-day ticket of Rs. 20 with me. Unfortunately, that did not ensue until late evening.

Now, I was trying to catch a shuttle (an auto that carries more than enough passengers with a minimal fare just equal to a bus fare), but all in vain, because on that road no shuttle was available. The location was such that if I had traveled all through by an auto, it would have cost me at least Rs. 50. All in all, I just did not want my saving to be compensated by one way or the other.

Now, both of my patience and tolerance began to recede. Every other people had gone away by whatever comfortable means or ways. One thing I was very sure about, that the passerby and the local people around there were supposing me to be a fool. Obviously, nobody on the vehicles seemed kind enough to offer me a lift.

Ultimately, I was about to catch a special auto, undoubtedly the only option left. But then, rapidly, there stopped two young boys with their two wheelers; they were in a search of a particular site. One of them asked me about it which was in my interest if I could reach there. So, I guided them; and instantly and spontaneously I posed whether he would carry me there. He immediately replied "sure, why not", and I traveled there with him.

When I reached there, I saw one bus quite ready to leave; I stepped in. That bus carried me to a very nearby area to my residence. In fact, it was not a big strike but just due to a scuffle resulting in an injury to a bus driver. Few buses were running by and large.  From there, I took a shuttle with a fare of only Rs. 5 to reach my residence.

I could not believe it, but I was a proven LUCKY and having all my savings with me. When awaiting is rewarded, help clicks. When help clicks, the Luck sustains.
