The One
(Cedric Oyaro)

she was the apple of my eye and the strawberry of my soul. The most intricate part of  my very  being; my starlight .When we met, we rhymed like poetry and our kiss was more passionate than the sun in summer. She was my starlight..my dream...the only rose that shimmered in winter, the only scent that was my aphrodisiac..I remember the day we met on a hot summer day.I could only describe it in Shakespear's words that: she walked in beauty, like the knight on cloudless skies and starry nights and all that glittered met in the aspect of her eyes. Her outward expression epitomized beauty and her inner possessions were my intent to unravel. She was dressed like a fair princes on  her wedding day, with silky brown hair that covered a well rounded scalp. From a distance, her skin appeared supple and fair and pimples were a fashion disaster she had  never encountered. The true description of a fair lady, she wore a tight tank-top with an exquisite shade of blue, that concealed the projections that defined her femininity, well panctuated with a pink nipple that was visible for all and sundry with a keen eye for detail. On the lower end,a tight skirt was begging for mercy at the intense stretch of noticeably well fed sacks of cotton. To top it all, a sumptuous smile split two smooth lips which I had to bind to mine at the setting of that day's crimson rays. All that remained was a good set of words, moistening my lissome lips and holding back my heart from palpitating from my chest.Would this gentleman crack the hard nut open? So i struck my natural poise and walked towards a woman that i only envisioned in mirages and mere dreams, hoping that a great love would breed and grow to fruition. Inwardly, i prayed that, like fine wine, our love would grow sweeter with time, overcoming all odds and creating a new world record of the greatest love of all time. As I walked towards her, the world seemed to pose for a moment as though waiting for the aftermath of this epic encounter between a renowned queen and a young man aspiring for chiefdom.
Planning my words from a distance, I sought to lock my eye to hers seeking the interlocking of two black specks, appreciating the quality of true perfection....She stared at me with cruel intent as if wondering whether this beast could match this beauty. Her quizzical eyebrows were enugh to send jitters down my spine but my desire outweighed my fears.
