Write your abstract here. Middlesex is an Oprah Pick. I was up in cottage country in Canada when I saw the book. Oprah books are fairly reliable. MiddleSex is the sort of fiction I usually find in Oprah''s taste.Middlesex chronicles the history of a family. They start in Greece and end up in Detroit, Michigan - in particular the suburb of Grosse Point. My sister once lived in Grosse Point so I had an added interest.The sexuality of the family is unusual. In particular the protagonist and narrator starts out as a girl and then ends up not a girl or a boy. The story is well told and I think I will mail the book to my sister.
