Wwe- The Only Way Is... Up?
(R.F)
In the beginning, all was good in the WWF (or WWE, as we know it today) kingdom. It had almost no competition, and ratings were sky-rocketing. Along came WCW. A small, unknown company, owned by the billionaire Ted Terner (who owns CNN as well). Slowly but surely, viewers moved from WWF to WCW. Vince McMahon, the chairman of the WWF,realized that things are going as he planned them, and has approved rediculous storylines. In 2001, deep in the Attitude era, just when you thought that t can''t get any worse- it did. The big red machine, Kane, performing the Kane-a-roonie. Fast Forward a few years. WWE is in truble, looking to get more audience than the usual number. What do they come up with? a feud between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero that was named "I''m your papi". Fast Forward to the year 2007- many top superstars are leaving or being fired, and their next stop for most of them is TNA, a small-yet-growing league owned by the former WWE superstar Jeff Jarrett, that has signed top superstars like Sting (who said that he will never step foot in a WWE ring), Samoa Joe, and Abyss. You can find there many familiar names like Christian Cage, Kurt Angle, Andrew "Test" Martin and Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes. Vince has no idea how to handle the situation, so he''s doing what he probably thinks that he''s doing best- Involve family. Suddenly he has an "illegal son". It seems like when things get bad- he puts himself in the center of attention. Here''s the thing- right now, with top supertars out of action due to injuries, things are bad. And by doing what he usually does, he''s only making things worse. I say it with belief mixed with a bit of disbelief: Right now, the only way for the WWE is up.
