While the book is primarily a book that fills the reader with a sense of happiness and warmth, it is definitely not devoid of sober and even grim moments. Jenny''s coping with a miscarriage and her subsequent depression and John''s concern and sensitivity are all highlighted in this book. All in all, the book is heartfelt-the stories are meaningful, and it teaches us important life lessons. It teaches us about unconditional love, it teaches us to be selfless and it also teaches us that there are more important things in life than carpets and furniture.
