Here''s a little story about a guy named Greg who discovered his self-worth.So this Greg was an unlucky man. It seems that every time he thought opportunity was around the corner, he''d end up butting heads or stepping on toes. He had caught a bad case of chronic-unemployment.Now Greg, was a hard-worker, but of the people that signed checks in the world, none seemed to find hard-work an employment worthy skill. Since food wasn''t going to put itself on the table, Greg had to come up with a solution. Exhausting all the employment answers in the classifieds, Greg went to visit his father a cash injection - just enough to carry him to his next job interview.Of course, by this time Greg''s dad was tired of watching his son fall flat on his face. He flat turned Greg down, and Greg said to him, "But I''m trying! I work hard, I just can''t keep a job long enough to get paid for that work. Every time I settle in, someone else settles on the idea that I gotta go!" So Greg''s dad looks him square in the eye and says, "Used to be a time when young men like yourself would only get what they worked for...not wait for some pompous nobody to sign a piece of paper that tells them what they''re worth. You got all the choices, you just got to settle on one."I think that''s sound advice, toba. Folks always want the "easy" way, letting someone tell them what to do and only getting paid what that person thinks its worth.
