When I was a child, I went to Japan to meet my aunt. She married korean residents in Japan. When I arrived Japan airport, I thought that it is not that different from korea where I am living about lifestyle or people''s appearance. I was just 8 years old that time so I was afraid of rapid change in surrounding environment. However different from other countries, Japan gave me an friendly and comfortable feeling. since then I went to Japan two more time whenever I go, I felt new feeling and decided to live in Japan when I go University. Then Waseda University is attractive to me among them especially Studies in liberal school is very appeal to me. At first, point of all of classes in SILS are running by English is advantageous to me who have confidence in English and I also can learn Japanese by admission of Waseda because it is in Japan. As I refered I have a great interest in Japan so I read about Japanese history or culture. for example in case of history, comparing to other ordinarly people think history as tedious or boring, I think history is the most charming and important subject than any other subjects. So I read many books about Japanese hero like Oda Nobunaga or Toyotomi Hideyosi who united Japan as a one county at 1590. Their character are extremely different that I can learn their effective management or politic philosophies. What I want to study in Waseda University is especially media system because I want to be a journalist. Critical reason of why I want to be a journalist is each countries different point of views. For instance, there are many problems between Korea and Japan. But journalists see a problem each dissimilar views. The side of Korea, they perceive problem as if Korea is a virtuous side or victim this situation is same with Japan. I am dissatisfied with this situations and someday I will be a journalist and see a problem more objective and global. I thought my decision is achieved by SILS thorough meeting international friends in other worlds if I meet friends who have various nationalities, it can help me to have a broaden insights and more objective opinions. That is i think that profound interests results in substantial understanding so if I make friends worldwide, then my interests to friends are naturally connect to world''s culture or lifestyle. Of course My points of view can broaden widely.
