Steal This Book

For a long time I wondered how people could make a living off what seemed like absolutely nothing. Many of my questions were answered when I found myself a copy of Abbie Hoffman''s book entitled "Steal This Book". The book was written while Hoffman was in prison. It is nothing less than a guide of how to live off the land with such chapter titles as: "Free Food", "Free Rent", etc... From my experience this was another version of the "Anarchist''s Cookbook". In the later chapters are clever ways to create your own weapons (which I do not advocate doing) and how to defend yourself in a street setting. Hoffman often refers to the reader as a brother or sister of the revolution for simply reading the words that he wrote to try and help set a generation Free from a buttoned-down world of yesteryear. Although this book was written in the 70''s many of the ideas it lays out are very clever and still seem applicable today. If you have a knack for reading what you''re not supposed, even if for pure entertainment reasons, give this book a chance.Oh, and one more thing... it can be found online by simply google searching "Abbie Hoffman Steal This Book".
