The Editor Professor Rathindra Narayan Basu has made an attempt to avoid overlapping of scientific analysis of the different aspects of environment, he could not do it. It is possibly because he did not like to disturb the scientific analytical justification of the environmental studies as made by different authors. Infact, in academic interest that had been deliberately done in some of the chapters so as to make them self-explicit to a certain extent. From the view point of inter-disciplinary research, the book could not justify its objectives. However the approach taken by the Editor seems to be a multi-disciplinary approach. At the end, it may be stated that the book will provide the readers, the basic information related to the environmental issues.
