Write your abstract here.
Ecclesiastes is the 21st book found in the Old Testament of the Bible.
Author : King Solomon wrote this book about 935 B.C, towards the
latter part of his life.
Purpose: To teach that "everything is meaningless" (Chapter 1) apart from
obeying and glorifying God, who will be the final judge of our life.
Content: The "Teacher " in the book recorded his own experiences of having
encountered disappointments as he was trying to find peace and
lasting meaning in life without God. He realized the futility of
Wisdom, Pleasure, Wealth, and Popularity, if all these become the
sole reason for living,
After pondering and weighing the pros and cons of this delimma,
he concluded in the last Chapter- 12:13-14: Fear God and Obey
his commands, for this is the duty of every person. God will judge
us for everything we do.
Take note of Chapter 3: 1-9. TIME FOR EVERYTHING is very often quoted and referred to because of its Wisdom and universal application to life on earth.
