PINNACLE REDEFINES HOME TV VIEWING, LISTENING TO MUSIC AND VIDEO EDITING

July 4, 2007 Avid Technology Inc., through its local distributor, Millennium Computer Technology Corp., introduced recently an array of new products led by the new PCTV To Go that allows users to watch TV on their computer anywhere in the world. Pinnacle?s PCTV To Go boasts easy wireless setup, integrated Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) support and comprehensive digital video recorder (DVR) capabilities for anyone interested in watching TV shows, sporting events, movies or news on a PC, anytime, anywhere. Pinnacle PCTV To Go enables consumers to watch full-resolution, DVD-like quality in MPEG-2 while VIEWING TV and around the home, or high-quality MPEG-4 while viewing television remotely, with nothing more than a simple Internet connection.  Designed to quickly plug into an existing entertainment system, the product acts as a pass-through device and eliminates the need for reconfiguring the entertainment system. In addition, Pinnacle PCTV To Go communicates wirelessly to an existing network or directly to a wireless PC, eliminating the need for users to co-locate an Internet router and/or access point in the proximity of the entertainment system. Consumers can connect to a broad range of devices, including cable and satellite set-top boxes, over-the-air antennas, DVD players and fully functional DVRs. Furthermore, Pinnacle PCTV To Go seamlessly works as a TV source within a wirelessly connected Microsoft MCE-equipped PC, allowing consumers to set up and use an MCE entertainment system in a location far from their TV source. For Mac users, Pinnacle has the new ultra-portable TV for Mac Sticks that turn any Mac into a full-featured TV receiver/recorder with remote control. The Pinnacle TV for Mac family is comprised of three models. Pinnacle TV for Mac DVB-T Stick allows users to watch, TimeShift and record their favorite digital TV and radio (DVB-T) programs. Pinnacle TV for Mac Hybrid Stick, on the other hand, delivers the same functionalities as the DVB-T Stick but adds analog TV reception. It also acts as a video capture device. Pinnacle TV for Mac HD Stick, meanwhile, gives customers access to ATSC HDTV directly on their Macs ? in addition to standard analog TV. The sticks connect to an external antenna, thanks to the built-in standard antenna input and also come with a mini antenna for use outdoors or in buildings where there is no external TV antenna. In addition to watching TV, users can take advantage of the TimeShifting feature to pause and rewind their favorite shows. The sticks also turn any Mac into a full personal video recorder (PVR), allowing users to record shows on the fly or schedule recordings ahead of time using the integrated electronic program guide (EPG). Users can save recordings on the Mac?s hard drive in DVD-quality MPEG-2 format.
Studio line

Another product that Pinnacle launched was its next-generation Studio line of video-editing software. The product family offers powerful video creation and sharing capabilities that address the latest consumer video trends, including support for new HD media types like AVCHD, the new operating system Microsoft Windows Vista, and Web publishing for online video sharing. Pinnacle Studio version 11 is designed to simplify video editing for entry-level users or those who want to move beyond the capabilities of free solutions. Pinnacle Studio contains several automated and time-saving features that let customers archive their video memories or create entertaining movies in a few easy steps. The new one-click Web publishing feature enables users to quickly publish their videos to Yahoo! Video for public viewing, or they can upload to the Pinnacle Systems? StudioOnline.com website private viewing service and invite an audience to watch their videos at the same time. Pinnacle Studio Plus, on the other hand, includes all of the intuitive features of Pinnacle Studio, and adds a host of advanced editing, effects and authoring options. The extensive range of features includes a complete HD workflow, with native HDV and AVCHD editing, and HD DVD disc burning. Users can burn discs on a standard DVD burner using standard DVD discs, and depending on the format, can play them on the latest HD DVD players. New to the Pinnacle Studio family, Pinnacle Studio Ultimate combines Pinnacle Studio Plus with a selection of highly acclaimed, fully integrated professional audio and video tools. Designed for the most serious video enthusiasts who demand more control over the quality and look of their video creations, Pinnacle Studio Ultimate includes BIAS Inc.?s SoundSoap audio cleaning tools, dramatic lighting and ?film look? effects from ProDAD VitaScene, precision panning and zooming with StageTools, MovingPicture, and a Chroma Key green screen backdrop for easy-to-achieve professional results. Last but not the least was the introduction of Pinnacle?s new SoundBridge HomeMusic, which allows consumers to broadcast music stored on PC and Mac digital music files and Internet radio throughout home audio systems, via Wi-Fi.
