Paris Hinton is an African-American entreprenuer trying to operate a bookstore in the 1950s when a series of events spiral into tale of turmoil that causes his life utter and complete chaos. He has enough problems with racist police officers before an ex-con barges into his store and brutally assaults him. A mysterious woman manipulates and lies to him before he loses himself in her erotic wonderland. Later, he discovers that his bookstore is burned down, and he has no way of defending himself or putting the clues together safely until he visits an old friend that has an uncanny ability to turn the tables; however, relying on this friend often brings about serious trouble. Will Paris be able to piece the clues together and figure out what is going on, or will his friend's propensity for attracting trouble get him killed before he can even start?
