To Kill A Mocking Bird
(Harper Lee)

Publicidade
To kill a mocking bird by Harper Lee is a novel based on the early 1930''s when America was going through a hard time. There was unemployment and economy of the state was bad. The books main aim was to focus on the criticism, prejudice and racial discrimination that the native folks showed to the black. I read the book and it gives the view of a prejudice society through a young girls eyes. Although not her or her family are prejudice or discriminate the blacks, they do tell us of the horrible things the black race went through including being charged for rape without any evidence. The society is so low that a few characters such as ''Bob Ewell'' have incest with his own daughter. Her daughter and his entire family are mostly dealt like outcasts and usually spend their time in the wilderness in the garbage rubble of society. His daughter being so lonely and craving for attention and desire broke the southern code causing an uproar in society against blacks and blaming an innocent black for raping her.
