We have approached the analysis of the present work with the objective of evaluating the pace and style of the author, the quality of the narrative and literature of his work and its possible incursion into the current Spanish editorial market as well as its future development within this market. The job of an editor is to give the author a vision and to be as objective as possible about the weaknesses and strengths of the novel with the intention of reducing the first and enhancing the second. Even taking into account the obvious literary quality of what is written, we have to recommend that the text pass through the normal processes of revision and correction by a team of professionals from the literary and editorial worlds, always under the supervision of the author.
The novel is complex and elaborate. The action takes place in a psychiatric clinic in which they apply innovative and experimental methods and philosophies for the treatment of patients. The book moves on to introduce the main personalities, both patients and doctors alike, and its personal universe is described in a literary and almost dreamlike way, the description of the visions of the patients and the hopes of the rest. The plot is well constructed, but the most notable quality of the book, in our opinion, is the enormous expressive capacity of the text, the rich colour and lexicon of its descriptions, the deep psychology of the personalities and the situations that develop in the novel.
The novel captures the reader from the first page and demands the attention of an expert reader, for its symbolism and for the way it transcends the merely apparent, it seems like a study of the human and the capacity of man to turn reality into madness, written in an appropriate style and with a fast-moving pace. So for all of these reasons we thoroughly recommend the publication of the current work and we congratulate the author on doing a great job.
