With this Okoro the town crier of Erhuwaren in a reclamation statement to the people revoked the obnoxious law banning all manner of goats from Erhuwaren and anywhere near its precincts.
The play which opened with a proclamation banning the ownership of goats because goats make the town filthy and possess''''witchcraft powers'''' but without due consultation to the masses of Erhuwaren is a critique of the politics of wealth distribution in the oil rich Niger-Delta region of Nigeria.
''''We cannot have goats wandering about our streets and homesteads uncontrolled.It was enough having them fill the place with filth, but now that we know they also provide refuge for forces of evil,oh, yes, that wherever there is a herd of goats there is a coven of witches, our immediate and mandatory duty to the community is to see them safely out of town''''
In the words of the only woman character in the play Koko by taking such a decision withuot due consultatation, the men are not''''better than the pig that with his snout digs up our cassava, uproots our yams before either is ripe for harvest, and,in spite of all this havoc it causes,still enjoys full sway over our lives''''
