But, this time there is no Military Intelligence or British Government to back Alex up. This time Alex Rider has to save the world single handedly.
One of the strengths of the book is the element of surprise. There are many surprises in the book that help you ?wake up?, as in get more engrossed in the book. For example, in the prologue itself, there was a surprise; a man in a forest suddenly found the world?s most dangerous spider resting on his neck. One move and the spider would bite him, which would mean instant death. This aroused my attention and made me pay more attention to the book.
Many chapters ended in cliffhangers. For example, in the end of chapter 17 ? ?Fasten Your Seat Belts?, Alex finds out something concerning his dad and he gets clues of where to find out more about him. I was just as curious as Alex was about his dad. So this chapter left me pondering about and waiting to find out what would happen next.
I would recommend this book to people who like to get thrills and chills from reading. This book certainly gives you plenty of those!
