Heir To The Empire
(Timothy Zahn)

Publicidade
It seems that Star wars may never end. Even before the
blockbuster prequel releases, fans hungered for more. Timothy Zahn continued
the saga with the 1991 novel release of "Heir To The Empire". He
instituted concepts into Star Wars that are irreversible, such as Coruscant,
characters like Mara Jade, and others.

The former rebellion now controls Imperial city on the megalopolis world of
Coruscant. Yet everything is not perfect after the death of the evil emperor
Palpatine. Luke Skywalker is the last jedi, but the New Republic
representatives struggle to put the galaxy back together following the galactic
civil war.

Unfortunately a new adversary has emerged, taking the emperor''s place, and
leading the Imperial remnant. To readers, Grand Admiral Thrawn will seem more
like a discovery, than the creation of some author''s imagination. He and
Captain Pellaeon carry on a relationship reminiscent of Holmes and Watson, as
they solve mysteries in order to achieve their diabolical goals.

Captain Pellaeon, and Grand Admiral Thrawn set out to systematically destroy
the New Republic. They are frighteningly calculating, relentless risk takers,
intelligent and will keep readers guessing at every turn. These villains are
perfect to follow in the footsteps of Darth Vader and emperor Palpatine.

Republic negotiations turn sour, and imperial agents, smugglers, aliens and
worse challenge our heroes Luke, Leia and Han Solo. Being in the public eyes is
their enemy, and hiding in space is no haven. With nowhere to turn, only one
thing is certain.

The rebels will find new allies in the most unlikely of places.

"Heir To The Empire" his full of dazzling escape attempts, political
intrigue, hopeless rescue attempts, a trek through a wild forest, and of course
battles in space. Meet a host of all new characters. Enjoy the old favorites,
and kick back as an exciting new adventure unfolds.

Zahn''s "Heir To The Empire" quite possibly outdoes any other novel to
carry the Star Wars title. The pacing, suspense, and characterization couldn''t
be more real and true to the original series of movies. The villains are every
bit as intelligent as the heroes. I recommend this book for even casual fans of
Science fiction. There is no doubt as to why "Heir To The Empire" was
a # 1 National Bestseller.
