Resumo de The Day I Lost My Temper

At seven o?clock I got into my car, a brand new Proton
Savvy, and turned the ignition key. To my great horror, the car would not
start. Then, I realized that I had run out of petrol. It was obviously not my
lucky day.

I had arranged my timetable to meet Caroline outside the
Golden Screen cinema in Gurney Plaza at seven-thirty. I was determined not to
be late, especially since this was to be our first date. Caroline was the most
popular girl in my school. Small, and slender, with a charming smile and a pair
of dimples on her oval-shaped face, she was every male student?s dream date. I
knew I must not be late or Caroline would be angry with me.

So, I decided to leave my car and catch the bus to town. All
of a sudden, I saw the bus turning at the corner and approaching the bus-stop
but I was a hundred yards from the bus-stop. So, I ran towards it as fast as I
cold but just as I reached there, the bus set off. I banged on the door to get
the driver?s attention. He turned around and smiled at me, so I thought he was
going to stop the bus and let me board. However, to my astonishment, the bus
sped up and drove away without me. I felt so angry and disappoint. I could have
strangled him!!!

The next bus was not due for another half an hour so I set
off on foot, half running, half walking, three quarters of an hour later, I
arrived at the beginning of Persiaran Gurney.

It was eight o?clock and the film had already begun. I was
so late that I thought Caroline would have given up waiting and gone home.
However, I could see Caroline standing on the pavement when I got nearer to the
cinema. A split second later, a boy walked towards Caroline and they seemed to
be walking into the cinema. I shouted ?Caroline, wait!!!? as loudly as I could.
I sprinted the final fifty yards.

?Caroline, why are you with another boy? You ??Hey, Jason!?
I said in surprise.

?Oh, Eric! You are the one who invited Caroline,? Jason
said.

?How dare you ?steal? Caroline from me?? I started to become
angry.

?What? Caroline is mine! You such a failure!? he laughed.

Finally, I cannot controlled my temper and lost my head. I
stomped towards him and gave him a punch in the face!!!

The next day, I apologized to Caroline but she kept ignoring
me. I was so mad about being late to meet her and punched my best friend,
Jason. Since that day, I knew that I lost my first dream date and my best
friend because I lost my temper.
